The Cavaquinho originated in the Minho region in Portugal, however this is the Brazilian version that has a round soundhole and a neck that is elvated in relation to the body. It is the predecessor of the ukulele.

Solid Sitka Spruce top, Solid mahogany back, sides and neck, Ebony fingerboard.
